The Executive Committee of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), has learned with sorrow the death on the night of 9 to 10 January 2012, following an illness, of Mr. Jacques Edouard Céance, famous leader of the Eclair FC of Gonaïves.

"Jacques will remain for all of us, a great football animator devoted to the cause of his Club and to the promotion of national football, vehemently supporting the values ​​and ideas that which is the basis of the action of the majority of leaders lucid of football, such as solidarity, empowerment of practitioners regardless where they operate, an equal opportunity for all affiliated Clubs, extending the practice of football throughout the country with the same opportunity, the flourishing for each athlete, regardless of the club where it is.

As representative of the Eclair of Gonaïves alongside the national bodies Jacques Edouard by his honesty, his competence, his spirit of solidarity and of sharing has represented with honor and panache his city and his Club which is one of the most beautiful jewels of football of Gonaïves and one of the giants of the National Football who has trained so many generations of players and leaders, brilliant citizens serving the football and the country with love and dedication.

The FHF ask all Members of the football family to pay a deserved tribute to Jacques Edouard Céance left far too early in the Father's House.
