Republican Senator from Florida, Marco Rubio and his wife, paid a short visit to Haiti yesterday Monday. The office of Senator of Florida stated that Mr. Rubio visited Haiti as part of the Senate's Foreign Relations Committee and in his capacity as the top Republican on the Western Hemisphere subcommittee.

U.S. Senator had a working meeting with the President Michel Martelly and members of the presidential cabinet. He also met the Prime Minister, Dr. Garry Conille, and private sector leaders and of NGOs to assess the state of the country before leaving last evening for the United States.
