The «Madan Sara» women drive 85% of the informal economy in Haiti (Video)

Jocelyne Jean Louis founded Rasanbleman Madan Sara (RAMSA) in 2018 with the conviction that the women who drive 85% of Haiti’s informal economy deserved a seat at every table where decisions concerning this economy are made. Not as beneficiaries, but as stakeholders.

During a year in which more than 13,000 Madan Sara were directly affected by insecurity, RAMSA did not back down. It organized. It negotiated. It kept its promises.

In an interview with Wi Ayiti Kapab, Ms. Jean Louis speaks clearly and forcefully about what her members need, what the State still owes them, and what she expects from the next generation of elected leaders in Haiti.
