On Friday, June 19, 2026, at Philadelphia Stadium (8:30 PM ET), Haiti will face Brazil, the only team to have participated in every edition of the competition and to have five stars on their jersey. Pythagore Dumas, the Minister of Youth and Sports, welcomes the announcement of the 26 Grenadiers selected to represent the nation at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He is particularly pleased with the inclusion of Pierre Woodensky of Violette AC, the only player currently playing in the national football league. According to the Minister, "We will not be content with simply being among the elite of world football. We will play this competition with our heads held high, just as our heroes did at Vertières in 1803, striving to push our limits as far as possible in this global event." The Ministry invites all Haitians to continue supporting the national team, to attend matches in large numbers, and to spread Haitian passion throughout the world. Our Grenadiers will perform even better thanks to this positive energy.
