2026 World Cup : Ambassador Henry Wooster wishes Haiti the greatest success !

Ambassador Henry Wooster, the United States Chargé d'Affaires in Haiti, wished Haiti the greatest success as the Grenadiers return to one of the world's biggest football stages, for their match tonight against Scotland, and their subsequent matches against Brazil and Morocco.

Message from Ambassador Henry Wooster :

"Grenadye alaso!

Hello to the Haitian people. This is a moment of great pride for Haiti. After more than five decades, Haiti is back on one of the biggest stages in world football, inspiring millions of people both at home and abroad. The last time Haiti reached this level was back in 1974.

Today, a new generation of players has carved out a place in history through hard work, determination, and confidence in a common goal. This achievement goes far beyond football. It represents a celebration of perseverance, resilience, and national pride. This team embodies the aspirations and dreams of an entire nation that continues to move forward with courage, despite the challenges it faces.

On behalf of the United States Embassy in Haiti, I want to warmly congratulate the players, coaches, families, and fans who helped make this achievement possible. To the national team: play with confidence, represent your country with pride, and fully enjoy every moment of this extraordinary adventure.

We wish Haiti the greatest success. May you inspire young people across the country to dream big, work with determination, and never give up.

Grenadye alaso!"
