"Viv Ansanm" Controls Sections of Kenscoff

According to Massillon Jean, Mayor of Kenscoff, members of the "Viv Ansanm" terrorist coalition control several communal sections of Kenscoff. Massillon calls on national security forces to intensify their operations to track down the terrorists and allow displaced persons to return home.

PAP : Gunfire and Kamikaze Drone Explosions

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, high tension prevailed in the lower part of Port-au-Prince, where heavy automatic gunfire and kamikaze drone explosions were reported. Special units of the Haitian National Police (PNH), in armored vehicles, are conducting an operation in the second and third districts of Port-au-Prince and their surrounding areas.

Rehabilitation of the Limbé/Bas-Limbé Agricultural Road

As part of the Agricultural and Fisheries Productivity Support Program and the Improvement of Rural Infrastructure for Market Access (PAPAIR) project / Ministry of Agriculture, financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the rehabilitation of the agricultural road linking the municipality of Limbé to Bas-Limbé is progressing. The road, which crosses Dévot before reaching Brado, is showing significant progress on the ground. To date, four culverts have been constructed to facilitate the crossing of water from ravines, thereby increasing the road's durability. This initiative should help open up access to the surrounding communities, facilitate the transport of agricultural products, and improve traffic conditions for users.

Closing Ceremony for Peanut Farming Training

Tuesday, June 23, 2026, Meds & Food For Kids (MFK) concluded approximately four months of continuing education on peanut farming in the Limbé commune. Following the training, MFK awarded certificates to farmers from the La Soufrière area. MFK representatives also distributed agricultural equipment to participants, including machetes, rakes, wheelbarrows, picks, sampling bags, sprinkler pumps, and pesticides, to help improve their farm yields.

Cap-Haitien : Good News

The Cap-Haitien Municipal Administration, in conjunction with its partners, is pleased to announce to the public that a significant milestone has been reached after several months of discussions, technical meetings, and intensive coordination efforts. The call for tenders has finally been launched for the project to improve traffic flow on the road connecting Barrière Bouteille to downtown.

Scholarships Under Discussion in Qatar:

The Haitian Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Pierre-Richard Cajuste, met with Dr. Omar bin Mohammed Al Ansari, President of Qatar University, during an official visit to the institution's main campus. Discussions focused on opportunities for academic cooperation between Haitian higher education institutions and Qatar University, particularly regarding scholarships and student exchanges, to provide more opportunities for young Haitians.
