Haiti - Telecommunication : New CEO of Voilà in Haiti

Following the acquisition in late March, by the Group Digiciel of the Haitian mobile operator "Voilà," Digicel-Haiti has announced yersterday Monday the appointment of Mr Noel Herrity as the new CEO of the company Voilà. The new CEO will report directly to Damian Blackburn, CEO of Digicel-Haiti, and his appointment is effective immediately.

Commenting on his new role, Noel Herrity stated "This is clearly an exciting time to join the company Voilà which enters into a new phase by integrating the Digicel family. The customers of Voilà are accustomed to getting an excellent service and innovative offers and I am committed to ensuring that this continues and we move forward."

Damian Blackburn, CEO of Digicel Haiti, commented "I would like to welcome Noel in the Digicel family. Together, Digicel and Voilà are committed to ensuring that our customers receive the best mobile experience in Haiti."

Noel Herrity is a veteran of the telecommunications industry with 25 years experience. Prior to joining the Digicel family, Noel occupied during 5 years the position of CEO within Zantel in Tanzania, a subsidiary of Etilasat. Under his leadership, Zantel has grown from 1.5 to 10% in a highly competitive market. Prior to Zantel, Mr. Herrity, was the CEO of BTC in Botswana, for 3 years and has also held key positions in companies like: Eircom and Western Connect.
