Haiti - Culture : Europe Week in Haiti

The Europe Week in Haiti, which runs from May 9 to 12, 2012, is organized by the Delegation of the European Union in Haiti in partnership with the embassies of Germany, Spain and France, the consulates of Slovakia and Latvia, as well as the Ministry of Culture and Communication, FOKAL, the French Institute in Haiti, Tamise and the program Culture Arcades. On this occasion many activities are planned: literature, photo exhibit, music, films, conferences... and various events of various sizes, in cities and in schools across the country, at the initiative of associations, teachers and local authorities.

Recall that the European Union provides significant support to the development and to the economic and social strengthening of Haiti through the Haitian cultural sector, particular within the framework of its program "ARCADES" funded to the tune of about 4 million Euros, dedicated to strengthening Haiti's cultural sector.

Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at Historical Park of teh Cane Sugar, will take place a Cultural Fair. On the program : Haitian artisans exhibition, tastings, conferences, raffle, giant puppets, musical entertainment Ti Coca. The entrance is 200 gourdes, tickets are on sale to booksellers La Pléiade, shops Valério Canez, Giant Super Market...
