The National Archives of Haiti (ANH), notify the Haitian communities of the diaspora that measures are taken by the administration in order to provide services for processing the applications of requests of extract of archives abroad. Administrative procedures and tariff costs are established like this :

1) Initiate the request :

• The client presents itself at an authorized agent (Sogexpress, Unitransfer, CAM, 12Tel, Haiti Messager, DHL, Fedex ...)

• Pays costs and obtain a case number

• Provides its information to the Agent

• Provide a copy of its document if available

• The agent scans the document and sends the file to the National Archives of Haiti

• The Agent deliver a copy of the form with the file number to the customer.

2) Contact the Information Centre of the National Archives of Haiti (CIANAH) :

• The customer calls the number 1-866-978-7264

• Provides file number

• Obtains the information, assistance and file status

3) Handling of the case by ANH :

• ANH receives the requests electronically

• Processes requests

• Requesting the missing information

• Gives the cases handled at the service courier

4) Transmission of cases handled :

• The courier service provides home delivery to customers

• Confirms to the ANH the delivery notice.

Note: The status of the request may be verified at any time on the website of the ANH: www.archivesnationales.gouv.ht

A flat fee of U.S. dollar is asked to any customer to cover all costs of expenses during the procedure for processing cases until its delivery.
