The Ministry of Culture announced the creation of "Council of Performing Arts". In line with the programmatic axes of the cultural policy of the Presidency and of Government, the "Council of Performing Arts" is a ministerial committee whose mission is the rehabilitation of Cultural Facilities of the Champs de Mars.

The Council is composed of the following personalities :

President : Monsieur Robert Denis

Vice President : Jean Jean-Pierre

Member : Ms. Régine Montrosier Jolicœur

Member : Ms. Elsa Baussan Noël

Member : Raoul Denis

Member : Jean Coulanges

Member : Ms. Florence Jean-Louis Dupuy

The Council's mandate, is to identify and propose to the appreciation and the sanction of the Minister of Culture, ean Mario Dupuy, measures and possible courses of action in the areas of dance, music and drama. These proposals will aim among others, to develop in the city center of Port-au-Prince, a cultural ensemble including theaters and other cultural places dedicated to the performing arts.
