Suzana Gamez, Coordinator of the social and technical cabinet of the Dominican Republic, met last week in Port-au-Prince, with Rose Anne Auguste, the Minister Delegate for human rights and the fight against extreme poverty in Haiti.

Mrs. Gamez's visit comes within the framework of exchange, sharing of experiences in order to the revitalization, of strengthening and of success of program "Ti manman cheri". The Dominican Republic has several programs of social appeasement, as "Solidaridad" [Solidarity] that works with disadvantaged groups in the field of health and education. This program, indicated Suzana Gamez, offers in Dominican Republic, to the most vulnerable families, food subsidies as well as for the ayment of electricity bills. As "Ti manman cheri", based on the Latin American model, the Dominican program "Solidaridad", transfers money to the account of the mothers of schoolchildren.
