Haiti - Energy : 23 of 32 circuits of the EDH are now operational

The Directorate General of the EDH informs the public in general that 23 of its 32 circuits are already operational in Port-au-Prince thanks to the work of technicians on the ground. The engineers and technicians of the institution continue to show determination and professionalism to restore power as quickly as possible in all areas of the capital.

The following neighborhoods are served : Downtown (fully restored), Avenue Christophe (restored), Roas of Dalles, Street Monseigneur Guilloux, Hospital Asile Français, Martissant, Peguy-Ville, Road of Frères (partly), Turgeau/Pacot, Downtown of Pétion-Ville, Carrefour Feuille, Delmas 19/31, La Saline/Terminal Varreaux, Cite Soleil and Clercine.

The Directorate General of the EDH and the Technical Directorate thank the private companies ECEM S.A., ELMECEN S.A., ELECO MEC S.A., and ELMECO S.A. for their valuable collaboration by providing us with additional equipment and free labor.

This support has enabled us to supply the following areas during the day and evening of Monday, August 27, 2012 : Carrefour (entirely), Bas Delmas (except Delmas 18), Road of Frères (entirely), Museau/Pan Américaine, Nerette, Bourdon/Bois Verna/Bois Patate, Nazon and Bon Repos.

Two teams have also been deployed in Plaine last night to begin the reparations of circuits of the region having suffered of significant damage during the passage of Isaac.

Our teams are currently working on the following circuits: Tabarre, Upper Delmas, Airport Road, Pelerin - Laboule - Thomassin, Montagne Noir, Morne Calvert, Belair and Portail St. Joseph.

The Directorate General also thanked the people for their cooperation and patience and invites it to continue to report any anomalies (broken poles, broken cables, fire, etc..) by calling its emergency service : 2813-1641 / 2816-1676 / 2816-1677 / 2816-1678 / 2816-1679 / 4799-8025.
