The Haitian Institute of Statistics and Informatics (IHSI) informs us that on monthly basis, the level of the General Index of consumer prices in Haiti (base 100 - August 2004), rose from 195.9 to 196.7 during the month of July 2012, or an increase of 0.4%. . On an annual basis, some acceleration in prices was observed, or an annualized inflation of 5.3% in July against 4.9% the previous month.

The index of "Rent Housing, Energy and Water" is mainly due to the increase of the rent of housing, which rose 1.7%.
