The 4th Sports Complex "Park St-Louis of Jérémie" was inaugurated on Saturday 15 September, as part of the program "Foutbòl pou chanjman" managed by Olivier Martelly. The inauguration ceremony, which was attended, among others by, René Jean Roosevelt, Minister of Sports, and Norman Winner Departmental Delegate of the Grande Anse, brought together thousands of spectators, including former glories of local football : Rollin Faucher, Dominique Jean-Michel, Maurice Léonce and Mario Fauché, who were honored in the circumstances.

The new Park St-Louis of Jérémie can now receive several major sporting events and accommodate more than 4,000 spectators. With basic sports infrastructure, a ribune covered with a metallic structure, a playground and a children's area, of projectors and a generator, this Park becomes the largest space sporting attraction of this department.

In his speech for the occasion, Mario Florvil, the Executive Secretary of the Commission of Support for the Sport Infrastructure and of Accompanying of the Haitian Youth, wished to stress the importance of such an initiative in the lives of youth of 10 departments of Haiti. "This is the accomplishment of the promises made by the President Michel Martelly, to provide the community juvenile with play areas adequate to meet the requirements of young Haitians in sport."

The population has, for its part, praised the efforts of the Government Martelly-Lamothe, of the importance they attach to mental and physical development of young Haitian living in the provinces, and took the opportunity to thank Olivier Martelly for his support, in the "Citée des poètes", hroughout the process leading to the construction of this complex.

Both teams have marked the event : "La Relève de Jérémie" VS "Les anciennes Gloires", a football match that has makes the happiness of the audiences. During this day were also organized, a school parade, musical entertainment and parachute jumps.
