The events of this second edition of Food Festival "Goûts et Saveurs Lakay" [28 September to 7 October 2012] were held under the theme "Save our gastronomic heritage" in various touristic establishments (hotels and restaurants) of the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince, with tasting evenings, lunches, cocktails, pastry classes, etc... Many Chefs from North America, Caribbean and France, took part in the festival.

"Goûts et Saveurs Lakay" is an incitement to the discovery or rediscovery of the richness and variety of food and drinks from different regions of Haiti. This festival promotes, among other the local production and the valorisation of trades of Chief and bartender.

Ms. Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, will present this Saturday on the sidelines of the local market, a trophy to the Chef Stephan Berrouet Durand , in recognition of its efforts in the promotion of Haitian food locally and internationally.

Saturday, October 6: local market at Historical Park of the Sugarcane from 10:00 a.m.

Sunday, October 7 : Official Closure of Festival "Goûts et Saveurs Lakay" : beach and BBQ organized by the "Wahoo Bay Beach Ressort" (Coast Arcadins).
