Malory Boursiquot, born in Montreal, of Haitian origin (her mother is from Saint Marc and his father from La vallée de Jacmel), elected Miss Quebec 2012, decided to build in Haiti, a school in the orphanage "Lifed Christian Orphanage" which host 42 children from 0-12 years, victims of the January 2010 earthquake or parental abandonment due to the extreme poverty.

"In four years, the orphanage moved three times, making it extremely difficult the sponsorship. Furthermore, children are not in school. So I targeted a particular need with the head of the orphanage in order to focus my benefit show [...] What came out of our conversation was the need to open a school within the orphanage," explained Malory, who is preparing his first benefit concert, to be held at Belmont, Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012.

"Many local artists have almost confirmed their attendance. They are the Group Wesli of Diol Kidi, Oswald Durant, and Maféline. Sugar Sammy gave me tickets to drawn for his show and a canvas will be put in the silent auction," indicated Miss Quebec 2012, which hopes to raise a minimum amount of $3,000 during this benefit show.

Malory will travel to Haiti in December of this year, in order to meet the head of the orphanage and buy with him, the missing items. "I asked for a list of what he needed to open the school and school effects that he could not find in Haiti."
