Born in Gonaives, Haiti, December 15, 1924, Mr. Viter Juste had left the country in the 70s, for political reasons. He settled first in New York and later to Miami with his family.

During the 80s, Mr. Viter Juste, was an active member of the community of Miami and was opposed to the policy of "Miami-Dade School Board" to prohibit undocumented Haitian children from attending school . He was also a member of "Haitian American Community Association of Dade".

Today, the history retains the name of Viter Juste, to be the one who contributed to give the name of "Little Haiti", to one of the most popular areas of Miami Dade County.

The Consul General of Haiti in Miami, François Guillaume II, joined his voice to the Haitian community of South Florida and the Haitian people, to wish his sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Viter Juste, that has spent decades as an activist to defend the Haitian community of Miami.
