7 other cooperation agreements, over a period of 5 years in the areas of health, agriculture and agro-industry and education were signed between Pierre Richard Casimir, the Haitian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Marcia Cobas Ruiz, Cuban Minister of Public Health,Ena Elsa Velázquez, Cuban Minister of Education, Gustavo Rodríguez, Cuban Minister of Agriculture, María del Carmen Concepción González, Cuban Minister of the Food Industry and Salvador Pardo Cruz, Cuban Minister of Industry Sidero-mechanical.

Health :

Cooperation agreement on 2 years between the Ministries of Health of the Republic of Haiti and the Republic of Cuba, on the deployment of a brigade of 723 Cuban doctors in different specialties, in Haiti.

Agriculture and agro-industry :

Specific agreement of 2 years between the Haitian Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development and the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, on the technical assistance for the Darbonne plant, for the production and implementation of the sugar harvest. Cuba will provide to the Haitian side up to 30 advisers, specialists and technicians, to help the sugar harvest and the maintenance of infrastructure.

Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of fisheries and aquaculture, with a duration of 5 years, between the Ministry of Agriculture of Haiti and the Ministry of the Food Industry of Cuba, on the development of cooperation in the fisheries and aquaculture, including training components and training of Haitian technicians.

Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in agriculture and livestock for a period of 5 years between the Haitian and Cuban Ministries of Agriculture, on the exchange of information and scientific and technical documentation ; the transfer of technology, including the organization of training courses, seminars and workshops ; the cooperation in research ; the cooperation in term of consulting services and technical assistance.

Specific agreement for a period of 2 years, on cooperation in veterinary medicine, between the Haitian and Cuban Ministries of Agriculture, with the aim of contributing to the development of veterinary medicine in both countries by sharing knowledge, provision of advisory services and technical assistance from Cuban specialists and technicians. Under the terms of this agreement, Cuba will provide to the haitian side of counselors, specialists and technicians in the fields of veterinary medicine within the jurisdiction and the interest of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development of the Republic of Haiti.

Education :

Cooperation agreement for a period of 2 years for the use of the Cuban Literacy method, entitled "Yo, si puedo" (wi, mwen kapab).
