Last week, at the express request of the Presidency, the Funds of Economy and Social Assistance (FAES) has dispatched a team of "Kantin mobil" in Cap Haitien, to meet the needs of the population in conditions of vulnerability and delivered more than 10,000 hot meals in poor neighborhoods in the North. The population has expressed its gratitude to the President and the Prime Minister for this initiative.

Meanwhile, the mobile canteen of Port-au-Prince, distributed 8.500 hot meals, to the Downtown and Carrefour this week.

Mobile kitchens are deployed in the country, the South, the North, West and soon in Grande-Anse. Mr. Edward Laurole, Head of the program "Kantin" confirmed that by the end of the year, more than 5 mobile kitchens will be in operation in the country.

Remember that the food supplied by the mobile canteens are only made with local products and the staff is entirely Haitian.

In addition, the program "Panye solidarite" continues its distributions. Last week the program distributed to the population 13.600 food kits in different regions: South (600), Côte de Fer (4,000) ; Belle Anse (3,000) ; Anse à Pitre (1,000) ; Thiotte (1,000) ; Grand Gosier (1,000) ; Tiburon (500) ; Roche à bateau (500) ; Cité Soleil (1,000) and Cayes-Jacmel (1,000)
