Haiti - Music : Racine Mapou de Azor interpreter Brassens

Following the success in 2011 of the compilation "Brassens, echoes of the world" produced to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the disappearance of the famous songwriter Georges Brassens, Emile Omar, designer of the project decided to continue this experience with new versions created and recorded especially for the second volume "Brassens, today echoes".

Along with 15 other artists, from Mongolia, Colombia, or also England, Racine Mapou de Azor was chosen to interpret the "Testament" of Brassens. 16 artists who revisit in new versions and in their native language, the timeless and borderless work of Georges Brassens

This unlikely encounter between the poet Brassens and the root group gives rise to an interpretation that is as well a re-creation. Progressively the words fit the context Creole, while the drums accelerate the pace of the ride to finally occupy the entire soundstage.

At the same time, Racine Mapou, offer us the first love root song. François Fortune aka "Tinonm" Group Director declared , "Racine Mapou is not limited in its themes, the fact that the music is inherited from voodoo, does not require us to only sing that and we're glad that this project has given us the opportunity to talk about love !"

Racine Mapou thus joint his voice and drums to "Today Echos" to testify both the vast musical richness of the modern world and of the modernity and timelessness of the work of Georges Brassens.
