Haiti - Economy : Mission of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Haiti in Taiwan

Didier Fils-Aimé, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Haiti (CCIH), at the head of a delegation, arrived in Taiwan Monday for a five-day visit to promote trade and investment between the two countries.

Tuesday, Didier Fils-Aimé at a seminar jointly organized in Taipei with the Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA), presented to an audience of Taiwanese entrepreneurs, the situation of the Haitian economy and business opportunities, particularly in the industrial sector.

The delegation, to which participates Hervé Denis, former President of the CCIH, must be received by Simon Ko, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs. The delegation will also meet Chao Yung-chuan, the Secretary General of TAITRA, the agency in charge of promoting foreign trade, and Wang Chung-yu, President of the CIECA two organizations with which a cooperation agreement is being prepared.

The delegation during its stay, will visit among other sites of economic and cultural importance: the World Trade Center in Taipei, Taipei 101, the Hsinchu Science Park, the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial, and the National Palace Museum.
