Haiti - Education : The President Martelly announced the construction of a vocational school in Milot

Thursday, touring the North, the President Martelly, proceeded at the inauguration of the National Lycée Henri Christophe of Milot which includes 18 classrooms, a library, a technical room, a staff room, a kitchen, a modern toilet block. It is also equipped with adequate teaching materials and will have a computer lab to facilitate learning of young people.

This modern educational infrastructure aroused the joy of the teachers, students, parents and citizens of the town and complements the list of 16 high schools already opened by the Head of State during the last two months.

Furthermore, in order to strengthen the training of young people in Milot, the President of the Republic announced the construction in this town, of a vocational school valued at 92 million gourdes.

This inauguration was an opportunity for the Head of State to renew its commitment to facilitate access to free education to all Haitian children and remember "As I keep repeating, education is the best weapon in the fight against poverty, anarchy and juvenile delinquency in the country."
