Past weekend, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, went to New York to promote the package Transat Holidays USA, launched last month in Miami. Monday the Minister met some local media at the Consulate General of the Republic of Haiti in New York as part of the promotion of the destination, among the Haitian diaspora.

Transat Holidays USA offers vacation packages of one week to discover the best of Haiti. Combo packages combine the areas of Port-au-Prince and Petion-Ville with the Arcadins Coast. A website (www://transatholidaysusa.com/main.cfm?l=en&p=02_100&siteID=2) and a phone number (1-855-99-HAITI) were made ​​available to those interested, for information and reservations.

In Port-au-Prince, this package program of excursions at the Museum of Haitian National Pantheon (MUPANAH), the Observatory of Boutilliers, the Barbancourt Rum Distillery, the Iron Market and evenings of traditional music led by the RAM group.

The Saut d'Eau natural sites, Arcadins islands or also a hike leading to a natural pool in Kay Piat are, among others, the main natural attractions listed in the seaside holiday of visitors on Arcadins Coast.

This new package is the result of the agreement announced in December 2012, signed in early January 2013 between the Minister of Tourism of Haiti and Transat. Since January 2013, Haiti welcomes every month a group of Canadian tourists in an organized tour of 7 days.
