Haiti - Elections : The PSP proposes the election of 20 senators...

Tuesday, at a meeting in a hotel in Petion-ville, between the Head of State and 51 members of the majority bloc "Parliamentarian for Stability and Progress" (PSP), it would have been mentioned, according to the Deputy François Malherbe, influential member of the PSP, the election of 2 senators per department in the next elections, what would make fully operational the Senate "We have proposed to hold elections in 2013 for two senators per department [...] The ten senators constituting the second third of the Senate, should know that their terms expire on the second Monday of January 2014, according to the electoral law of 2008, under the aegis of which they were elected and sworn," remaining convinced that this proposal could help end the crisis and put an end to those who suggest that the Government expects this date to declare the lapse of Parliament...
