Monday Stéphanie Balimir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism accompanied by members of the private sector of tourism, whose Pierre Chauvet, a representative of the Tourism Association of Haiti (ATH), left the country for Paris, where she will participate in the Fair International French Travel Market Top Resa (IFTM Top Resa), which runs from September 24 to 27, 2013.

IFTM Top Resa is the essential rendezvous of reference for travel professionals, who meet, negotiate, lead and understand market trends. The event presents a vision of travels to 360°, covering all reasons of travel : leisure, business and events.

Top Resa organizers expect this year on 27,000 m2 of exhibition space, nearly 29,000 professional visitors (12.5% international), close to 1,200 exhibitors and brands will benefit from the media coverage of about 1,000 journalists expected at this great event.

On the sidelines of the first representation of Haiti in Top Resa (booth Haiti P06), the Tourism Minister will sit down with travel agencies and tour operators, before meeting the French press about the presentation of the destination Haiti and of major action plans of Ministry.

Ms. Villedrouin will also meet with some industry figures including, Sylvia Pinel, the Minister of Crafts, Trade and Tourism and the President of Tourism Committee of islands of Guadeloupe. A meeting is also scheduled in her agenda, with Zoran Jelkic, the Director of Air France-Caribbean, for the establishment of a tourist package Paris - Port-au-Prince.

Recall that the promotion of the destination Haiti, is one ofpriority intervention areas of the Ministry of Tourism, which rely among other things, on an an active presence in international tourism fairs and the signing of partnership agreements in promotion, of tourist packages with tour operators and travel agencies.
