Haiti - Elections : The CTCEP rejects the request for cancellation of the pre-calendar electoral

Following the correspondence addressed October 22, 2013 to Emmanuel Ménard, President of the Transitional College of the Permanent Electoral Council (CTCEP) by two advisers Néhémie Joseph and Léopold Berlanger asking to cancel immediately the pre-calendar electoral and all acts that resulted, Emmanuel Ménard, informs both Advisers of the refusal of their request "I officially inform you of the rejection of your request dated October 22, 2013 by plenary vote on the same day, none of the 9 members of the Transitional College of the Permanent Electoral Council, have voted in favor of the request [..."

Léopold Berlanger believes that this response sows confusion in the public mind, adding that he and Néhémie Joseph [who initially voted against this pre-calendar], was absent during the vote and also, Marie Clunie Dumay, the Vice-President of CTCEP abstained.

It is therefore a rejection vote of 6 members of the Council [the same who voted for this pre-calendar electoral] and not of 9 votes of rejection, as stated Emmanuel Ménard.
