The first contract, worth U.S. $ 120.027 aimed at strengthening the Association "Association des Femmes Solidaires de Gros-Morne" (AFSGM), is intended to contribute to the intensification of cultivation of sugarcane in the town and includes the sowing of 50 acres of land in industrial cane, the building of a shed and buy a Motor-mill.

The second contract, worth 121.749 U.S. dollars was signed with the direction of the Hospital Sacré-Cœur in Milot and provides, inter alia, the construction of an outpatient clinic, 21 new examination rooms, an emergency department, an HIV clinic, a nutrition center, a pharmacy and a radiology department [scheduled to open in January 2014].

Ms. Looligne Alexis Coordinator of the AFSGM and Harold Prévil, Executive Director of the Hospital Sacré-Cœur, beneficiaries of this aid, have shown grateful to the Embassy of Japan for having accepted their request.
