Haiti - Social : Demonstration of government supporters in Petit-Goâve

On Sunday, several hundred residents of Curtis, Maro, Coq-chante of the strret Benoît, of Acul, have demonstrated to thank the President Martelly andthe deputy of Petit-Goâve, Jacques Stevenson Thimoléon for the imminent electrification of the their areand to support the government in power. The event which took place without incident was framed by a heavy police presence and Minustah "After 39 years, we will finally have electricity thanks to the efforts of our deputy and the spirit of service of the President Martelly," said the demonstrators.

Two groups of protesters near the deputy Thimoléon, one from the street Benoît and the other from Maro and Curtis

took to the streets to express the same claims, chanting "Timomo and Martelly" unequivocally supporting the Martelly administration.

"Never the town of Petit-Goâve will accept he premature departure of President Martelly [...] This event is only the beginning of a broad movement of support, that we will trigger in favor of power.

Petit-Goâve now wakes [...] the President will go nowhere, it will remain in power to complete its mandate," declared the supporters of Michel Martelly, who also launched scathing remarks against the members of the opposition, which demanding the resignation of Chief of State, treating them of "bitter," "obscurantist" and "enemies of progress".
