This Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 4:00 pm, will be held the official inauguration of the Dany Laferrière Library of Petit-Trou de Nippes (department of Nippes, arrondissement of Anse-à-Veau), among others in the presence of several writers whose Yanick Lahens, Bonel Auguste, Christophe Philippe Charles, Killy Charlot and the Poet Claude C. Pierre.

Dany Laferrière Library so named makes a fitting tribute to Dany, great writer of Haitian origin recently elected to the French Academy. The library contains four reading rooms named after Haitian authors : Bonel Auguste, Christophe P. Charles, Pierre Clitandre and Claude C. Pierre.

It will open its doors with a fund of 3,500 titles offered by Haitian friends and publishers, who have supported this project. With this library of proximity, pupils, students and researchers will find a place to conduct their study and research.
