A working meeting was held recently around the modalities and procedures for the implementation of the "Interministerial System of Management of Human Resources" (SIGRH), which will be managed by the Office of Management and Human Resources. Remember that this computerized database is derived from the census operations of some 80,000 public servants (whose 65% are support staff), which began on March 10.

Participants mainly addressed technical issues relating inter alia: on the physical and logical architecture of the system, the reliability of the network connection and inter-network and the technologies to be used.

SIGRH will allow the Haitian State :

• Have reliable information on the sectoral distribution of the workforce;

• Have reliable information for management of career and promotions;

• Master permanently the size of the public service, its structure and cost;

• Follow up skills and staff mobility;

• Have real-time inventory of available skills ;

• Develop policies for managing human resources.

This working session resulted in the development of a framework document of the central file and will be followed by a simulation session Friday, May 9 Note that this will be the first demonstration of already developed modules of SIGRH.
