Thursday, a delegation from the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), led by the Minister Guillaume II, composed of Édouard Valmé, Director of Cabinet, Ms Carty Caprice, Head of Grievances Service, Ms Anne Christelle Auguste, Head of Protocol and Ladenson Fleurival, Head of Communication Service went to the Customs of Port-au-Prince, to inquire about the progress of the Bureau dedicated to Haitians living abroad.

The reception Office is functional at the Customs of Port-au-Prince for almost three weeks and gives support to members of the diaspora in their efforts, as the Grievances Office of MHAVE has done for more than a month.

The office receives an average of 10 compatriots living abroad by day "We hope to receive a larger number in the days to come," declared Clifford St Jean, Head of the diaspora reception Service at the Customs.

"We strongly encourage members of the diaspora who need the customs service, to use this structure newly established and approved by my ministry," declared proudly Minister François Guillaume II, who wished to stress that the implementation of this service is the culmination of a promise made to the diaspora by the Government Lamothe, during the holding of the "Gouvènman an lakay ou" (GOL) program in Miami, July 19, 2014. Note that this is the MHAVE that have the mission to verify compliance with the commitments made by the Prime Minister to GOL Miami.

In addition, the delegation also visited the Directorate of Traffic Police (DPR) in order address some concerns of the diaspora in terms of road safety devices put in place always in the context of commitments GOL Miami.

Commissioner Goodson Jeune, Director of Traffic Police, has stated that he is currently discussing with the unions of taxi-moto in order to find the best formula "As soon as the plan is ready and implemented, it will be a permanent and effective control over the movement of motorcycle taxis in the metropolitan area of ​​Port-au-Prince," promised the Commissioner.
