Haiti - Elections : Demonstrations, the Minister of Justice condemns with force

Following, among others, the demonstrations of the activists, supporters and sympathizers of Fanmi Lavalas who took the streets Monday and Tuesday to protest against a supposed electoral coup and demand the respect of the vote of the ballot boxes, convinced of the victory of their candidate Maryse Narcisse; Camille Junior Edouard, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security "strongly condemns all threats and acts of intimidation recorded over the last 48 hours".

Anxious to preserve Public Peace the Minister Édouard invites all candidates and their supporters to keep their calm and not to violate the prescriptions of the electoral decree which prohibits any demonstration during the period preceding the proclamation of the results of the ballot by the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), the only body competent in the matter. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19313-haiti-elections-cep-call-to-order.html

It relies on the civic good sense of all citizens and exhorts them to have the same patriotic behavior that they showed during the election day last Sunday.
