Friday, morning at the Primature, Colombe Emilie Jessy Menos the Minister of Tourism presented at a press conference the results of Carnivals in the tourism sector.

With regard to the occupancy rate of the hotels registered during the Carnival period in certain cities of the country, she indicated that the statistics coming from hoteliers in Pétion-ville indicate an occupancy rate of 76%, those of Port- Prince and Arcadins Coast 90% and hotels in the cities of Jacmel and Cap-Haitien between 60 and 70% of figures deemed satisfactory by the Minister Menos.

According to the Minister, during the period from January 30 to February 15, 2018, 15,000 tourists were in the destination who added that the National Historical Park was also a pole of attraction emphasizing that the Park had received during the carnival period the visit of about 3,000 visitors (foreign and Haitian tourists).
