The Alternatiba Plateau Central Committee, in partnership with the Coordination Alternatiba Haiti and the Francophone Action Group for the Environment (GAFE) are organizing the 4th edition of the Alternatiba Village for the climate in Hinche and Zim Basin.

This event aims to highlight the many local alternative projects and movements that play an active role in tackling the causes of climate change.

Considering the local context, this Village will put a particular emphasis on the rural world by highlighting not only the difficulties it encounters, but also and especially the pool of wealth and alternatives it represents, with the idea of participating TO THE rehabilitation of rurality in Haiti too often represented through a negative prism.

For this reason, it is the first time that an Alternatiba Village will be organized on two sites, one in urban Place Charlemagne Péralte (Hinche) on Friday, April 6th, 2018 the other in rural areas at the tourist site of Zim Basin on Saturday, April 7th, 2018, symbolizing the importance of recreating a link between two interdependent realities.

These two days will be punctuated with conferences, activities, workshops for adults and children and cultural activities that will allow the general public to have fun while discovering the actions taken nearby in terms of environmental protection and citizen alternatives. especially in rural areas.
