After the deployment on March 27th of about 30 Environmental Agents in the South-East at the beginning of the week Pierre Simon Georges, Minister of the Environment in the presence of the Director General of the Ministry, the Departmental Director Environment of the West, Technical Directors, executives of the Ministry proceeded during a ceremony to the deployment of sixty Environmental Agents in the department of the West.

In his speech the Director Rony Horat of the Directorate of Inspection Education and Environmental Monitoring (DEISE) reminded agents present at this ceremony their mission, among others: environmental education of the people, the management of natural resources, environmental monitoring and especially expectations that resulting.

For his part, Minister Georges drew the Agents' attention to the transversal nature of their responsibilities. According to the Minister, these agents who will be deployed across all the communes of the West Department, will be the eyes of the Ministry alongside the local population.

Note that the actions of the Environmental Agents will be coordinated by the DEISE, who will be responsible for their training and will equip them to carry out their tasks.
