The Embassy also wishes to emphasize that several bilateral projects, currently underway, are already supporting the efforts of the Haitian government in its fight against the pandemic.

On the social level, Taiwan contributes financially to the "Kore pep" project, and recalls that a first shipment of 1,000 tonnes of Taiwanese rice intended for the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) arrived on April 6 and that 1,000 additional tonnes are planned for April 20.

In terms of health, Taiwan is funding the purchase of new ambulances for the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the training of medical staff in the treatment of Covid-19. In addition, a videoconference between hospitals in the two countries is being prepared of concert with the Ministry of Public Health in order to share good practices in the fight against the Covid-19 coronavirus, and finally a financial envelope has been allocated to the Ministry for the purchase of basic necessities.
