The Rectorate of the State University of Haiti (UEH) would like to confirm that the registration fees for the 2021-2022 admission exam are now set at 800 gourdes instead of the 500 gourdes in force since almost 15 years. This measure aims to ensure the smooth running of the entire admission process and to reduce the deficits recorded by the expenses incurred by the organization of the said examinations.

The Rectorate would like to recall the following points:

- The amount of 500.00 Gourdes was set in 2007. In the meantime, the inflation rate has almost tripled and the discount on the national currency has increased by more than 250%;

- The increase in registration fees has been requested and approved by almost all deans;

- Most of the fees collected during the admission examination are used by the Faculties, Schools and Institutes of the UEH for the organization of the examination (examination sheets, supervision and supervision costs, correction, etc...);

- For the past 5 years, the 500 gourdes have not been able to cover the costs incurred and the Faculties are obliged to draw from their meager budgetary resources to compensate for the deficits, although these resources regularly experience a relative decrease;

- The distribution of the proceeds of these fees is carried out in all transparency and in all fairness between the Faculties and Schools on the basis of objective criteria approved by the Council of Deans.

The Rectorate regrets that the prospect of recruiting a new class of students is the subject of misunderstandings . He reiterates his willingness to take all necessary steps to ensure that the recruitment and reception of this promotion is carried out under the best possible conditions.
