In the capital, barricades of burning tires and rocks were erected, particularly on the road to the airport, in Delmas and in the area of ​​the Pétion-ville cemetery, making traffic very difficult for the few reckless motorists...

The demonstration, which started from Place de la Constitution (Champ de Mars), was marred by incidents. Demonstrators vandalized shops, throwing stones and bottles, smashing several windows... vehicles had their windows and windshields broken.

Unidentified individuals attempted to set fire to a gas station and a generator in Delmas. Protesters under threat punctured the yellow canisters of many smuggled fuel vendors demanding that fuel be distributed and sold only at gas stations

The police dispersed the demonstration with tear gas at Delmas 83. Several minor clashes between demonstrators and police force were reported...

In the region, burning barricades were observed in Petit-Goâve, where at least 9 people were reported injured, including one shot and one dead. In Miragoâne, Torbeck, Port-Salut the very motivated population demonstrated but no report was available.… In Terrier-Rouge, the road was blocked.

In Jérémie, where all activities were paralyzed, at least 5 people were injured, one of whom was shot.
