Haiti - Flood FLASH : 51 dead, 18 people missing and nearly 40,000 families affected... (Provisional report updated) 07/06/2023 08:55:51 In the department of Grand'Anse, the section linking the town center of Jérémie and Château, via La Digue, is impassable. Traffic near the Glace River is very difficult due to a mudslide on the roadway. The La Rouyonne and Momance rivers in Léogane, La Gosseline in Jacmel, Chaud'Eau and River Froide in Carrefour, the Ravine of Mariani, the Betize River in Faucher, Grand Goâve, the La Digue River in Petit-Goâve, the River Grise at the Plaine du Cul-de-Sac, the Rivière des Côtes-de-Fer among others entered into flood. Several bridges were submerged including: the Pont de la Grand'Anse, the Pont de Petit-Goâve, the Pont de Mariani, the Pont de la Croix-des-Missions... In Léogâne, Sainte Croix Hospital was flooded forcing patients to leave, Banque Nationale de Crédit (BNC) was also flooded Landslides and rockfalls were recorded in particular in Bourdon in the West department, in Cange in the Center department, on the road leading to La Vallée de Jacmel and in Coq Chante, in the South-East department. All the communes of the South-East department were hit by floods. The gardens were destroyed and the road infrastructure damaged...
