Haiti - Insecurity : The residence of the former President of the Senate looted and burned

On the night of Friday June 9, the private residence in Tabarre 70 of former Senate President Carl Murat Cantave in Tabarre 70 was the target of an attack by heavily armed bandits who looted and then set fire to the house before fleeing with 2 vehicles that were there.

The town's firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, while Cantave was saved by an armored vehicle from the National Police of Haiti (PNH), which quickly arrived on the scene.

"Heavily armed bandits broke into my private residence, they searched it, robbed it and set it on fire while taking away my 2 cars [...] I saw death in front [...]" declared the former senator from Artibonite.

It seems that this attack is the work of members of the "Kraze baryè" gang led by Vitelhomme Innocent.
