Partial Fire at the Jérémie BED

On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, a fire broke out in part of the Jérémie Departmental Electoral Bureau (BED) building. No official information is available regarding the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage. An investigation has been opened.

Large-Scale Operation in Kenscoff by the PNH

The Haitian National Police (PNH) conducted a large-scale operation in the commune of Kenscoff, in the localities of Godet, Furcy, and Bois d’Avril. The operation involved several specialized units, armored vehicles, helicopters, and kamikaze drones. Several bandits were killed, according to Kenscoff Mayor Massillon Jean. No official casualty figures are available at this time.

Grenadiers U-20 Victory [3-0] Against Cañoneros

The final test before the big match. Before their first qualifying match for the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Champions League, Haiti's U-20 national team played a friendly against Cañoneros FC on Tuesday, July 21st at 7:00 PM. Two PNH officers dead in 24 hours, suicide ?

Two officers of the Haitian National Police (PNH) were found dead in less than 24 hours in Delmas, in circumstances unofficially presented as suspected suicides pending the results of the investigation. The first officer, Brunel d’Haïti, assigned to the Departmental Operations and Intervention Brigade (BOID), shot himself in Delmas 33 after leaving a letter for his family. According to initial reports, he was battling an illness that caused depression. The second, Yane Fleurimis, a member of the 22nd graduating class of the Haitian National Police (PNH) and assigned to the Penitentiary Administration Directorate (DAP), was found dead early Monday, July 20.

The PNH receives a UN delegation

On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Vladimir Paraison, Acting Director General of the Haitian National Police (PNH), accompanied by members of the High Command, received a United Nations delegation to discuss the current security situation in Haiti. Held at PNH Headquarters, this meeting allowed senior PNH officials and members of the UN delegation to exchange views on several issues related to the country's security situation, including the PNH's operational capabilities and the security measures implemented on the ground, all within a spirit of institutional cooperation and strategic consultation.

Tabarre : Clarification

The Tabarre Municipal Commission informs the general public that, to date, no contract has been signed between the Tabarre City Hall and any company, firm, or individual regarding the road construction project linking Carrefour Ritha to the Motorized Intervention Brigade (BIM) headquarters. The administration has only made fifty million (50,000,000) gourdes available for the project. The City Hall is directly responsible for acquiring the construction materials, while the Ministry of Public Works is providing technical support by supplying engineers, technicians, workers, and the necessary equipment and materials for the successful completion of the work.
