Haiti - FLASH : The Rhum Bakara company attacked, vandalized and looted, many victims

Saturday, July 22, 2023, heavily armed individuals savagely attacked a convoy that was being loaded, from the Haitian Rhum Bakara company, located on the Bassin Général road, in Noailles (Croix-des-Bouquets),

According to Jacky Baboune, one of the owners of the company, this loading operation was under the protection of the National Police of Haiti which ensured the safety of several trucks that a dozen employees were loading with crates of rum, when heavily armed individuals attacked by opening fire...

This bloody attack left 2 employees dead, at least 4 injured and 8 other employees kidnapped under duress.

These individuals seized two trucks containing goods with an estimated value of between 200,000 and 300,000 US dollars, 3 company trucks were set on fire and 8 other trucks were stolen...

Before leaving the premises with their loot, the individuals vandalized and looted all the company's offices...
