Haiti - FLASH : 4.2 earthquake near Petit-Trou-de-Nippes

This Monday, December 11, 2023, an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 on the Richter scale was recorded at 6:42 a.m. and 17 seconds in the morning, near Petit-Trou-de-Nippes (Nippes Dept.).
The epicenter was located at sea at 18.62 degrees north latitude and 73.64 degrees west longitude 17.6 km northwest of Petit-Trou-de-Nippes (Nippes Dept.), 46km southeast of Gonaïves (Dept. Artibonite), 142 km west of Port-au-Prince (West Dept.), 50km east of Jérémie (Grand'Anse Dept.) at a depth of 12 km.
No loss of life or damage has been reported so far by Civil Protection in relation to this seismic shock which was slightly felt.
