Haiti : An Unprecedented Situation

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Haiti (OCHA) says it is observing an unprecedented socio-economic and humanitarian situation in Haiti, particularly in the Artibonite and the West. Artibonite is the second department in Haiti with the highest severity of multi-sectoral needs after the West, according to an OCHA document dated September 12, citing the 2024 humanitarian response plan.
