UEH : Integrating AI into Virtual Classes

The Spanish Embassy in Haiti has created a training course at the State University of Haiti using the Moodle platform with the support of generative AI, to help instructors integrate AI into virtual classes.

Jacmel : Installation at the Montagne Lavoûte Sub-Police Station

On Friday, October 10, 2025, the Acting Departmental Director of the South-East Police, Divisional Commissioner Magalie Belneau, visited the Montagne Lavoûte sub-police station, located in the commune of Jacmel, to assess its operating conditions. Municipal Commissioner Monette Jean-Julien, on the instructions of the Divisional Commissioner, installed Divisional Inspector Boursiquot Jean Bernard as the new Head of the sub-police station. He replaces Divisional Inspector Alexandre Jacques in this position.

Productivity : Cuba last

According to the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Cuba ranks last in the regional ranking of low-productivity countries. The main reasons are Cuba's low growth, high social inequality, and a growing migration of skilled professionals. According to the report, Cuba not only ranks last in absolute terms of labor productivity, but has also experienced a decline in its productivity over the past two years. Burger Fest 2025

Burger Fest 2025 promises to be one of the major gastronomic events of the year in Port-au-Prince, from October 17th to 19th. Concourt : Yanick Lahens in the 2nd Selection

Haitian writer Yanick Lahens continues her path to the 2025 Prix Goncourt. Her novel "Passagères de nuit," published by Sabine Wespieser, is among the second selection announced Tuesday, October 7th. Eight authors remain in the running before the announcement of the four finalists scheduled for October 28th.
