IMPORTANT : Brazil Visa, Family Reunification

The Brazilian Visa Application Center (CAVB) in Haiti informs that Haitians who arrived in Brazil without a visa can apply for family reunification, provided they submit proof of regularization of their status. Haitians who entered with a VITEM XI visa are not eligible. We remind everyone that the refugee protocol is the applicable procedure for submitting an application if you did not enter with a visa.

"Barbecue" has disappeared !

The prolonged disappearance of Jimmy Chérizier, alias "Barbecue" leader of the "Viv Ansanm" terrorist coalition, is fueling speculation and rumors. Haiti’s most wanted terrorist has vanished from the public eye and the social media platforms he frequently used. For more than seven days, "Barbecue" has not posted any messages, contrary to his usual practice. The authorities also appear to be unaware of the terrorist's whereabouts, while rumors are rife regarding his condition after the destruction, using kamikaze drones and heavy equipment, of three residences that were part of his headquarters.

MSF : More than 100 wounded treated in 2 weeks

In a press release published Thursday, January 22, 2026, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) reported a resurgence of clashes between the Haitian National Police (PNH) and armed groups. MSF stated that it has treated more than 100 wounded victims of violence in its Port-au-Prince clinics over the past two weeks.
