Haiti - Politic : PM in Chile for the inauguration of President José Antonio Kast

Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, leading the Haitian delegation, will participate in the inauguration ceremony of Chilean President José Antonio Kast, elected on December 4, 2025, in Santiago, Chile, on March 11, 2026.

For this occasion, Alix Didier Fils-Aimé will be accompanied by Raina Forbin, the new Minister of Foreign Affairs, and her Special Advisor, Guerly Leriche.

The Prime Minister's presence at this official ceremony illustrates the importance Haiti places on strengthening the bonds of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between Haiti and the Republic of Chile. It also reflects the Haitian government's ongoing commitment to consolidating political and diplomatic dialogue with Latin American Nations and promoting constructive partnerships based on shared interests and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Through this participation, the Head of Government reaffirms his commitment to the historical ties of friendship and respect between the Haitian and Chilean peoples, while reiterating his determination to deepen bilateral cooperation in several areas of strategic interest, for the benefit of development, stability, and closer relations between the peoples of the region.

The Prime Minister and his delegation will return to Haiti on March 13.
