US Justice : Martine Moïse Makes Accusations During Her Hearing

Day of Clashes with Terrorists

Early Thursday morning and throughout much of the day, special units of the Haitian National Police (PNH) clashed with heavily armed members of the "Viv ansanm" terrorist coalition, which controls several sectors of the capital. Exchanges of gunfire continued, notably on Chareron Street, Joseph Janvier Street, Grand-Rue, in Fort Saint-Clair, and on Joseph Janvier Street. Suicide drone explosions were reported. No casualty figures are currently available.

Attack on the Residence of the Director General of Radio Télé Kiskeya

The Ministry of Culture and Communication (MCC) learned with dismay of the armed attack perpetrated against the residence of journalist Jean Marvel Dandin, Director General of Radio Télé Kiskeya. The Ministry strongly condemns this act of violence and hopes that the truth will be uncovered regarding this serious incident. The Ministry expresses its full solidarity with Jean Marvel Dandin and the entire team at Radio Télé Kiskeya, and offers them the Government's condolences.

Elections : 320 Parties Registered !

The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) closed the registration process for political parties, groups, and coalitions for the upcoming elections on March 12 at 4:00 PM. On this final day, 110 parties registered, bringing the total to 320 political parties, groups, and coalitions for the period beginning March 2nd, 2026. The names of the political organizations selected, after review and verification of the submitted applications, will be made public on March 26, 2026, according to the electoral calendar.

Call for Applications

The call for applications for the Youth Empowerment Fund 2026 is now open. This fund, implemented through a partnership between the European Union (EU) and the Global Youth Mobilization, directly supports youth-led initiatives contributing to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals at the local level. Young people, informal groups, and youth-led organizations in eligible countries can apply for grants ranging from €500 to €5,000 to implement their projects.

High Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Risks

Ronald Gabriel, Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH), participated in the presentation of the findings of the first National Risk Assessment of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing. The report highlights a high overall risk level and calls for strengthened cooperation between national institutions and international partners to protect the integrity of the Haitian financial system.
