The PNH has retaken the Seguin police station (Update)

The Haitian National Police (PNH) reports that it has retaken control of the Seguin police station in the commune of Marigot, following a large-scale attack perpetrated on the night of April 13-14, 2026, by several dozen terrorists. The police returned fire before conducting a tactical withdrawal. The attackers stole a generator, two motorcycles, and set fire to three vehicles. Tragically, the terrorists killed at least six members of the public who had come to assist the police and wounded three officers. The PNH extends its condolences to the victims and their families. Reinforcements from the Departmental Unit for Maintaining Order (UDMO) have already been deployed to the area: they are currently controlling the station and securing the surrounding areas to prevent any further attacks.
