Each police officer recruit received a kit

Just days before their graduation, the recruits of the 36th class of the Haitian National Police (PNH), the second cohort of the P4000+ program, received a kit to support them in their future duties serving the public. This kit includes firearm cleaning kits, parade gloves and hats, long- and short-sleeved shirts, traffic vests, and Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) pants.

2026 World Cup : Our Grenadiers at training camp

On Sunday, May 24, our Grenadiers in Group C began their training camp at the Voco Sandpiper All-Inclusive Resort, a 216-acre complex located along the St. Lucie River in Florida. This closed environment helps avoid distractions and centralizes training, meals, and recovery. Two important preparation matches are scheduled: June 2 against New Zealand at Chase Stadium (Inter Miami's stadium) in Fort Lauderdale, and June 5 against Peru at NU Stadium in Miami. 1,398 cases of diphtheria recorded

On Monday, May 25, 2026, the Ministry of Public Health launched a diphtheria vaccination campaign in schools and health centers across the country's ten departments. Scheduled from May 25 to 29, this campaign targets children aged 6 to 15 and aims to strengthen their immunity. To date, 1,398 cases of diphtheria have been recorded, including 129 confirmed cases. The West Department remains the most affected, with 45 confirmed cases and two deaths.

85% of the voting-age population is registered

The National Identification Office (ONI) reports that 6,475,000 citizens are registered (85% of the voting-age population). Furthermore, 31 registration points are available at Haitian consulates and embassies for Haitians in the diaspora to vote: 7 offices in the United States, 5 in the Dominican Republic, and 3 in Mexico. Additional offices are available in Chile, Argentina, Panama, and Brazil.

WHO, a historic moment for Haiti

During the 159th session of the WHO Executive Board, the 34-member body responsible for guiding global health policies, member states elected Dr. Bertrand Sinal, Haiti's Minister of Health, as Vice-President for the Americas, along with three other Vice-Presidents. A member of the Board since 2025 for a three-year term (2025-2028), Haiti now holds the Vice-Presidency. Haiti will use this platform to amplify the voices of vulnerable countries and advocate for equity in global health.

Towards strengthened cooperation with Rwanda

On the sidelines of the Ministerial Conference on Peacekeeping in Francophone Environments, Raina Forbin, Haiti's Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with her counterpart, Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe, Minister of International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda. The discussions focused on the Haitian government's priorities regarding security, institutional stabilization, and the return to democratic order, as well as prospects for strengthening cooperation between Haiti and Rwanda.
